Emergency Department
Liberty Regional Medical Center's Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide treatment for medical or surgical emergencies, the initiation of life-sustaining procedures in emergency situations, as well as the provision of care for all other emergency conditions for patients of all ages.
Emergency Care
The department is well-equipped with three Trauma Rooms and 15 Exam Rooms. The department is staffed with Emergency Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Patient Care Technicians who have been trained to provide emergency care.
Liberty Regional is affiliated with tertiary care facilities for the transfer of patients if needed, such as in the case of Trauma, Cardiac or Stroke Patients. We are equipped with a heliport on site for incoming air transport in the event that service is needed as well.

Liberty Regional Medical Center is proud to be designated by the state of Georgia as one of only nine Level IV Trauma Centers in Georgia, demonstrating our commitment to providing rapid, high-quality emergency care for patients with traumatic injuries.
As a Level IV Trauma Center, our specially trained emergency team is prepared to assess, stabilize, and treat injured patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have the resources, equipment, and protocols in place to provide life-saving care while coordinating with higher-level trauma centers when advanced specialty care is needed.
